Hello and welcome to my website.

I’m N. S. Vishwanath (please call me Vish), the author of Nights of the Moonless Sky, a historical thriller set in 16th century South India.  

I hope you are all keeping well, considering the interesting times we all live in. 

Nights of the Moonless Sky, my debut novel,  is doing well, and on a stable trajectory.  Reviews have been great, the numbers good. A Bengali language translation and a Kannada language translation  of my debut novel (pictures at the bottom of this page) are both doing well. I am thrilled. 

My second novel is coming along well. Stay tuned for sneak previews sometime late in 2026 when you sign up for email updates (links all over this website).

Troubling times, these last few years have been…any way you look at it. Thank heavens for stories and storytellers, for they have made time-travel to places far and near a safe reality.
