Historical Thrillers, Short Stories, and more …

Greetings from Mysore, a most splendorous town in South India!

Farewells are always sad
except at the snapping of the navel-cord
when to the kiss of life they wake, both
beaming with strange togetherness

Never have the lines (written by the gifted Indian poet Vijay Munshi) rung so true for me as when I finished proofreading my manuscript for the last time, stared at the baby with pride, and prepared to introduce “Nights of the Moonless Sky” to the world. I have done my best to tell a good story. I seek your good wishes.

I will be back from time to time to blog more of my musings. Y’all come back too when you can!

I am interested in history. Early on in high school in Sagar (Shimoga district), I was influenced by our history teacher (Late) Samaka Ramaswamy, a scholar in Indian history. I remember his teaching of Vijaynagar empire, particularly emperor Krishnadevaraya and Minister Madhava Vidyaranya. I am eager to learn more about the glorious empire and looking forward to read your stories. Good luck Vish……….. Nani

Congratulations!!! Your novel enchanted me from the very first lines. The story weaves a beautiful tale of empowerment, greed and redemption embedded in a timeline of actual history from 16th century India. I enjoyed the surprising plot and character developments. Especially during these times, it was wonderful to escape into this book which was full of visual imagery. I thoroughly enjoyed reading your novel and couldn’t put it down until I was finished! Best wishes!!!
